Platform Engineer (API)

As a Platform Engineer (API) at Undagrid, you will be responsible for the development, testing, maintenance, and documentation of various public APIs that are critical for our IoT solutions. You'll collaborate closely with the Solution Architect and Mobile Software Developer to enhance Undagrid's solutions and deliver an exceptional user experience.

The key responsibilities:

1. API Development: You will be at the forefront of API development, creating robust and scalable solutions. Your expertise will be essential in designing, coding, and testing APIs that meet the specific requirements of our customers. By understanding their unique use cases, you will develop APIs that enable seamless integration of our IoT solutions into their existing systems.
2. Customer Focus: With a customer-centric approach, you will gain a deep understanding of our users' needs and expectations. By actively engaging with customers and conducting user research, you will identify pain points, gather feedback, and translate these insights into actionable improvements for our APIs. Your goal will be to exceed customer expectations and ensure the Undagrid APIs deliver outstanding value.
3. API Support: You will provide exceptional support to our end-users, guiding them through the implementation and usage of our APIs. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be crucial in troubleshooting issues, resolving challenges, and ensuring smooth integration for our customers. By offering timely and effective support, you will build strong relationships with our users and contribute to their success.
4. Integration with 3rd Party APIs: Collaboration will be key as you work closely with external partners to integrate their APIs into our platform. Your ability to understand and adapt to different API frameworks will enable seamless interoperability between Undagrid and other systems. By fostering strong relationships with 3rd party API providers, you will contribute to expanding our ecosystem and delivering comprehensive solutions.
5. Documentation and Communication: You will be responsible for creating clear and comprehensive documentation for our APIs. By providing detailed technical guides, examples, and tutorials, you will empower developers to successfully integrate our APIs. Additionally, you will collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to communicate the value of our APIs to external stakeholders, highlighting their benefits and use cases.

We expect from you:

• 4-8+ years of experience. Starters are also more than welcome to respond!
• Relevant Bachelor's or master's degree in Software development
• Javascript & Typescript
• Express
• NodeJS
• MongoDB
• MQTT
• Cooperation at a multidisciplinary level
• A pre is having knowledge about e.g.: PostgreSQL, Apache Spark, Python, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Java/Scala, gRPC
